ColloidTek participated the European Days for Sustainable Circular Economy, also known as EDSCE 2019 event, that was held in Finlandia Hall, Helsinki on 30th September to 1st October. The EDSCE 2019 promoted low-carbon, climate resilient circular economy, and consisted of three parallel conferences: Circular Economy 2019 Conference, Manufuture 2019 Conference about sustainable and smart manufacturing, and SI 2019 Conference about sustainable innovations.
Matti Järveläinen and Arto Ojuva from ColloidTek spoke in the SI 2019 Conference, that showcased success stories and promoted discussion on innovation and education projects, and introduced start-ups from three different ecosystems: industrial raw materials, digital solutions and food production. ColloidTek speech was part of future oriented “Agile and Sustainable Innovation” afternoon session of the conference, that focused on building on technological and digital capabilities like AI, and on the possibilities of innovative start-ups to scale up.
The EDSCE 2019 event brought together various stakeholders, including natural scientists, social scientists, technology scientists, R&D&I experts, industry and business representatives and investors, as well as public authorities, agencies and organizations. The conferences covered topics such as systemic change, trade-offs and synergies, low-carbon circular economy in cities, different aspects of competitive, sustainable and resilient manufacturing and the role of digitalization in the circular economy.
